Details: SUMMARY: MPA Testing DETAILS: The Lost Valley Educational Center is a non-profit residential and educational facility located near Dexter in Lane County. The Center has a groundwater system that serves 17 connections with approximately 45 people. The system has 2 wells which feed to an unapproved treatment system. Chlorination is added for 4-log virus inactivation. Well #2 had tested positive for e. Coli. It was determined based on the location of a nearby creek that the well would need to undergo Microparticulate Analysis (MPA) Testing to determine the degree of surface water influence, if any. Completed second MPA test. It was necessary to take an additional trip down to the water system as the testing could not be completed on the scheduled date of 5/18. ACTION NEEDED: Forward results to DWS and Lane County.
