| Details: | SUMMARY: E. coli positive source water assessment sample DETAILS: Spoke with Doug about E. coli positive sample at Well #2 collected on Sept. 30th and need to collect five confirmation samples at the same tap. I also advised taking a routine coliform in the distribution system. He will not be able to collect samples until next week when the lab mails bottles. I asked that he inspect the wellhead and check the UV unit to ensure it is working correctly. We discussed possibility of boil water notice and alternative disinfection options if contamination is confirmed. Doug felt the positive sample was due to people having access to the well during a nearby wildfire and the sample tap was not properly disinfected prior to collecting the sample. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for confirmation sampling results to determine if further action is necessary. |
