| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Water Notive - confirmed E. coli in well #2 DETAILS: System had collected 5 source confirmation samples on 10/6/15. All 5 tested positive for E. coli. A treated sample was collected at the same time and was absent for bacteria. The system was on assessment monitioring for this particular source. Spoke with Doug about the immediate needs and what to look at long term. A boil notice was sent to Doug via email. It was also advised he could put non-potable signs on the standpipes and laundry facilities served by the contaminated well. It is noted that there was extremely heavy use of the well this summer due to major fires in the area. Reports are the well never went dry - but likely stressed the well. ACTION NEEDED: Boil water notice was received from Doug. Well evaluation showed the well contruction adequate - system would be allowed to add chlorination and contact time. System to evaluate vendors for this system and work with DWS on plan review. | ||
