| Details: | SUMMARY: Chemical alert follow up DETAILS: System had Benzo (a) Pyrene detection during 9/23/15 SOC sampling. Called operator Bill and Umpqua lab. Result was .0001mg/L which is above the detection level of .00002 mg/L. Therefore a confirmation sample asap is needed. This result will be averaged with original and if under the DL continue with normal SOC sampling every 3 yrs. If average is above DL, quarter sampling for at least two quarters needed to show reliably and consistently below MCL of .002 mg/L. Bill will take sample asap. Discussed that Benzo (a) Pyrene is a hydrocarbon and that engine exhaust, smoke from a cigarette or wood stove could have shown up in sample. Careful when sampling to ensure no ambient smoke. ACTION NEEDED: Take sample to average samples asap. Results will dictate further action. | ||
