Details: | SUMMARY: conference call this morning (continued) DETAILS: Should we measure a residual test below 0.3, we have up to 4 hours to adjust dosage levels. If residuals rise above 0.3 within a 4 hour period, no violation has occurred.Local staff have reviewed and will review all relevant internal policies and procedures in relation to the operation of water and sewer systems. Local staff have reviewed and will review all relevant Drinking Water Program (DWP) monitoring and reporting requirements applicable to Humbug Mt.Local staff will work closely with Brody to establish an ongoing relationship that can serve as a first line of defense for compliance issues and testing questions..Brody will seek clarification on whether non-compliance occurs for events when testing is not done due to staffing levels OR only when result drops below 0.3.Of ongoing concern is the regular source of bacteriological contamination within the source well. A Microscopic Particulate Analysis (MPA) test and well construction don’t seem to indicate a well directly under the influence of surface water. Wellhead examinations have not found an obvious source. Staff have shocked the well in the past and have done so within the past few days. Previous well shocking events have not corrected the problem. Staff is retesting the well today for bacteria.Brody is meeting on site with park staff on Dec.16th, 9am to begin an evaluation process to assess the integrity of the well. He will utilize DWP resources as needed. ACTION NEEDED: See previous |
