| Details: | SUMMARY: Chlorine pump became air locked causing system to not meet CT DETAILS: On the night of 6/26/15 the chlorine pump became air locked, which resulted in unchlorinated water entering the distribution system and required CT not being met. A "do not drink" notice was sent out to the mill workers and OERS was notified (case #2018-1378). The mill rescinded the do not drink notice after the tank and lines were flushed, required CT was met, and 0.8 ppm chlorine residual was detected in 4 different end user locations. 3 special samples and 2 routine samples taken 7-10-15 were all absent of coliform bacteria. A Tier 2 notice was sent out and posted for the mill on 7-24-15. ACTION NEEDED: Mill was advised to take coliform samples to confirm adequate disinfection and the absence of contamination and consult with OHA prior to lifting a do not drink notice in the future. The mill updated their Drinking Water Emergency Reporting Procedure dated 8-10-15 to incorporate this advice. | ||
