Details: | SUMMARY: Contact Tracer Study DETAILS: The City of Richland owns and operates a groundwater (under the influence) system that provides water to 175 connections. Water from Eagle Creek enters the system through an infiltration gallery. The system has a natural filtration credit and disinfection with sodium hypochlorite. Water travels from the infiltration and disinfection system from New Bridge to the City of Richland’s elevated reservoir. The Circuit Rider was contacted by the City to provide assistance with a contact tracer study to determine the amount of contact time in the transmission main and reservoir before the first user. Circuit Rider had previously visited the water system in 2013 in an attempt to complete a contact tracer study. At that time, the chlorination system was experiencing intermittent issues and data collection was not going to be possible until the system was reliably operational. Reviewed previous work and worked on the development of a methodology. ACTION NEEDED: Complete methodology, then complete data collection and testing report. It may be necessary to visit with water system prior to completing the methodology. |
