| Details: | SUMMARY: Total coliform was found in sample taken at day use site on 12/01/2015. Site was resampled on 12/03/2015 at the source and 4 repeats. 2/5 of the samples taken on 12/03/2015 were TCR positive. DETAILS: The monthly sampling that is done by the USFS showed a positive TCR for Tahkenitch CG for sample taken on 12/1. Operator went back on 12/3 to resample site. Operator also shut off all water usage at the site to ensure that people would not be drinking contaminated water. Water remains off at Tahkenitch until test results do not show a positive. Operator plans to resample next week. ACTION NEEDED: Operator stated that they needed to let the water run longer so that the water sitting in the line was flushed out. The lines were also flushed with bleach.Operator needs to take 5 samples in distribution (labeled as RP) in January 2016. Operator will also need to post a Tier II notice. Operator will need to email a copy of Tier II notice back to Douglas County Environmental health within ten days of issuing the notice. | ||
