| Details: | SUMMARY: clarification of restricted public access near intake structure DETAILS: In recent years, Powers has had a gate preventing the public from accessing the end of the gravel road to their intake structure. The new city council asked Gary to leave the gate open to accommodate fishermen, which would access the river approximately 25 ft from the intake. This does not seem to be in keeping with OAR 333-061-0050(3)(d), which says the system must make "provisions to restrict swimming and boating in the vicinity of the intake." Gary asked if opening access would violate our Administrative Rules. Our DWS regional engineer asked Powers to provide a to-scale drawing showing how close the proposed activity would be to the intake. ACTION NEEDED: Emailed Gary the request for the scale drawing. | ||
