Details: | SUMMARY: Regulatory assistance DBP testing DETAILS: The following email was sent todayJoe,We received an email from Brad Daniels, OHA DWP informing us of your DBP monitoring schedule and asked we communicated with you. This is a requirement when a system started chlorinating.So...........The first step will be to conduct an initial distribution system evaluation. You need to take two samples (both analyzed for HAA5 and TTHM) collected in this year. Both samples should be collected from max residence time sites, where TTHM is expected to be highest also referred to the oldest water/ furthest from the point of chlorination. The rules require a standard monitoring plan. These samples need to be taken in the summer months. The sampling schedule is posted on the website but there is an error when I checked and said the seasonal sampling period is from 11/30 to 11/30- should read 6/30 to 9/30.The web link has more information alsohttp://public.health.oregon.gov/HealthyEnvironments/DrinkingWater/Rules/Stage2/Pages/cmp.aspx#requirementsIf this brings up any questions, feel free to contact me at 503-588-5126.
