Details: | I spoke with Robert Trotter from Hiland Water who is in charge of operations for McNulty Water PUD for clarification that the water samples for arsenic, labeled "EP-D", were either at the entry point to distribution, or at the Source. He clarified that they were taken at the Source for the Robinette ASR well. He also said that the public is not currently drinking that water. I also asked Robert for clarification on the configuration of the northern section of the water system. Water from the northern section cannot supply the southern section of the system, however, Robert says that under normal conditions, the ASR would be filled from the Robinette Reservoir, as well as the ASR pumping 1/3 of the time into the Reservoir. Robert clarified that the booster pumps divide the northern section from the southern section, but that water would normally travel back and forth from the ASR to the Reservoir and then back to the ASR under normal conditions, and that this is largely coordinated at the Smith booster station located at the Robinette Reservoir. We also discussed on how Brad Daniels from DWS has planned to reject the violations of arsenic MCL exceedance samples at that source, after September 2020. |
