| Details: | SUMMARY: Copper AL - Various Communications Between 2/22/16 & 2/25/16 DETAILS: On 2/22/16, HRCHD received a proposed corrective action plan from Cascade Locks PWS (From Gordon Zimmerman, City Administrator – via e-mail).HRCHD spoke with Sheldon Price regarding the contents of the letter and some of our concerns via phone on 2/22/16, 2/23/16 & 2/24/16.On 2/25/16, HRCHD drafted and sent a letter (addressed to Gordon Zimmerman) detailing our response to the proposed corrective action plan received on 2/22/16. This letter did not approve of some of the proposed actions in the 2/22/16 corrective action plan. HRCHD granted Cascade Locks PWS an additional 30 days (by 3/25/16) to respond with an amended corrective action plan. A copy of this letter may be requested at HRCHDEH. ACTION NEEDED: ‘City Of Cascade Locks’ public water system needs to submit a corrective action plan to Hood River County Health Department by March 25th, 2016 which contains the following information: (1) Preferred method of corrosion control-- and (2) The date by which formal engineered plans will be submitted for formal review. ‘City Of Cascade Locks’ public water system must concurrently begin: (1) A (once every six-month period) lead & copper monitoring schedule-- and (2) Pursue the development of engineered (shovel ready) plans for corrosion control. | ||
