Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on customer water quality call DETAILS: Customer called to complain of black, brown, and green particles in tap water. She has not noticed any odor or taste issues with the water, but is concerned about possible health effects associated with particles and sought assurance on her water quality. We discussed general water quality concerns associated with plumbing materials, and the need to maintain the aerator on the faucet to minimuze build-up of particles. I referred her call to District manager who will reach out to Diane to further address her concerns. I provided general information on water quality testing, lab information, and Multnomah County lead resources to Diane, but recommended she follow up with the system itself on her concerns. ACTION NEEDED: District to follow up with customer on complaint. DWS to provide support to Multnomah County (regulating agency) with any further regulatory questions. |
