Details: | SUMMARY: Update on membrane replacement and corrosion control DETAILS: Chris updated me on the following: PDT isnt working reliably-- apparently the air valve that was misbehaving last time we spoke is not sealing properly anymore and they cant get a good seal to run the pressure test. He does not believe there is a problem with the membrane but they will pull them and pin them this weekend just to be sure. Again, these valves will all be replaced in a few weeks when the membrane retrofit project occurs. Chris expects to submit info on this project to our office for plan review this week or next. Regarding corrosion control: he has submitted the first round of WQP results collected 2/24-- the second round was collected 3/11 and he will send me the results when he gets them (end of this week or early next) at which point the best corrosion control treatment can be determined. Source water sampling for lead and copper has still not been received so Chris will check on that. Lead statement put on bill as required beginning in March. ACTION NEEDED: Continue pinning membranes regularly if PDT cannot be performed until membranes are replaced. Submit second round of WQP results as soon as they come in. Perform source water lead and copper monitoring if not done so already and submit results. Submit plan review info for membrane retrofit. |
