| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: G. Friedemann of Delta had reached out to the circuit rider for further assistance regarding the difficulty of measuring a chlorine residual at Woodland. G. Friedemann was also looking for water quality parameters that had been tested by the circuit rider. Assistance Provided: The circuit rider provided G. Friedemann with the same water quality parameter data provided to the on-site operator and the suggested testing procedure listed below: 1. Add DPD reagent (powder pillow or Swiftest) to test vial 2. Immediately cap test vial and shake for 15 seconds 3. After the 15 seconds of shaking in step 2, immediately wipe and roll vial to both eliminate bubbles and clean surface (this should only take 3 seconds) 4. Insert test vial into colorimeter or color comparator and take a reading exactly 20 seconds from the time that the DPD reagent was added in step 1 The circuit rider remains in contact with the operator and Delta and assists as required on the residual measurement issues facing Woodland. Follow-Up Actions Needed: The circuit rider can provide further follow-up assistance if needed. |
