Details: | Assistance Provided: 10/5/20 – Bret Turner at HECO Engineers (HECO) received a request from Civil West (Marlin Gochnour) to assist City of Unity with completing the action items listed in Amy Word’s Lead Action Level Exceedance Letter on 10/5/20. 10/6/20 – Robert Almanza from HECO Contacted Amy Word on 10/6/20 regarding Level Exceedance Letter required action items and WQP’s. 10/6/20 – Robert Almanza from HECO Contacted City of Unity, Ken Taylor, to discuss the Lead Action Level Exceedance Letter listed action items and due dates. Also discussed scheduling the water quality parameters as a priority item since these need to be scheduled between a two-week window apart prior to 11/20/20. Also discussed action item regarding to immediately distribute a Public Education to the City regarding lead Action Level Exceedance. Ken mentioned City of Unity School District had already distributed a letter to the City regarding recent Lead Action Exceedance. HECO asked Ken to provide letter for verification if letter followed same guidelines as OHA standard template. Ken also mentioned the City had already conducted source lead and copper testing and was awaiting results from Magic Valley Labs. 10/15/20 – HECO contacted BOX R Water Analysis Laboratory at Prineville, Oregon regarding the scheduling of the two rounds of the WQP’s at two points: 1) In the distribution system and 2) At the distribution system at the entry point just downstream of the 130,000-gallon water storage tank. HECO contacted Ken to verify WQP scheduling dates. HECO contacted Amy at OHA for scheduled testing dates. 10/26/20 – HECO emailed Ken regarding status of Public Education Document from school district and lead and copper sample results from Magic Valley. HECO contacted Tony Fields at OHA for time extension request. |
