| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive Coliform in the Distriubtion System from Repeat Samples DETAILS: Spoke with Devin who stated they had already shocked their well from the last positive coliform. Discussed that contamination may be coming from the distribution system. He could not think of what might have caused the contamination (loss of pressure, sample procedures). I emailed him the state DW recommendations for shocking distribution system. He stated people are not currently drinking the water. He is planning on shocking the distribution system. Discussed testing chlorine residual, time and chlorine level to achieve shocking system, type of chlorine to use and that drinking water cannot be done if FC is above 4ppm. Discussed if shocking the lines doesnt fix problem then profesional company may need to be utilized. ACTION NEEDED: Follow up sampling for coliform after shocking system is completed. | ||
