| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine +EC due to interruption of disinfection. Boil water notice. DETAILS: Henry notified DWS that a routine monthly coliform test collected 4/20/16 came back positive for E. coli. Upon investigation he discovered that the chlorinator was empty which is the likely cause of the positive since this system uses surface water. He is in the process of restoring a chlorine residual to the system and will collect a follow up sample to confirm that the system is free of coliform. Normally action is not taken until contamination is confirmed through repeat sampling, however since this is surface water and an interruption in disinfection treatment was discovered, an immediate boil notice is warranted. Henry indicated that no one is currently being served by the system as the school is not open at this time and there are no other users on the system but he will post a boil notice anyway and send us a copy. ACTION NEEDED: Henry to notify DWS of results of follow-up sampling and will discuss lifting the boil at that time. | ||
