| Details: | SUMMARY: E.coli + Alert Follow Up DETAILS: Received call from lab that routine sample taken 1/7/14 e.coli positive. Sample was taken from office kitchen faucet. Called operator Nyle and he will take 4 repeat samples this afternoon from same location, well and 2 others. Nyle took residual chlorine yesterday but did not record on lab slip. It was .2ppm. I reminded him to record this on all lab slips when pulling coliform samples. We discussed public notice requirements and I e-mailed him a boil water template. ACTION NEEDED: Take 4 repeats and wait for results tomorrow afternoon. Post or deliver public notice for boil water if any repeats positive (even for total coliform). Ensure chlorinator is working correctly. I will make a site visit if any repeats are positive. **System chlorinates for biofilm reduction which is thought to be responsible for historic total coliform and e.coli positives. | ||
