| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussion of rehab of existing well vs drilling new well DETAILS: Discussed setbacks and well construction options with Greg. Greg had asked about whether redrilling existing well would avoid setback issues. I noted that setbacks are not grandfathered so the situation is the same for a new well versus redrilling of existing well. Reiterated that if the well is properly constructed in a confined aquifer then a waiver for ownership/radius of control may be approved but if so DWS does require some ownership or easement. Suggested that he make it clear to the well driller that they must target the confined aquifer. ACTION NEEDED: none at this time. | ||
