| Details: | SUMMARY: Corrosion Control DETAILS: The City of Amity owns and operates a surface water treatment system. The water system serves 1460 persons through 600 connections. The Circuit Rider was contacted by OHA staff to assist the City of Amity with corrosion control issues. The City of Amity has experienced exceedences of the Copper Action Level in 2008, 2012, 2013 and November 2015. The water treatment plant currently uses soda ash for corrosion control, but the appropriateness of the system should be reevaluated. Discussed corrosion control and other operational issues with City staff and OHA staff. Reviewed past lead and copper results. Reviewed corrosion control study completed by Keller and Associates (2012) and OHA Sanitary Survey. ACTION NEEDED: Meet with City to review operational issues. Review current corrosion control system. | ||
