Details: SUMMARY: Nitrate Level Over 1/2 the MCL DETAILS: Annual nitrate sample was 8.34, this has been slowly increasing over the last 10 years. Called Cindy and she is aware of the alert. Will continue to monitor nitrate levels and realizes that they will have to install treatment if the level raises to 10. Cindy asked for contact information for someone to meet with her and other concerned individuals to discuss ways to reduce the nitrate levels. Told her that the County doesnt take any action until the nitrate levels reach 10. Told her that they can research drinking water consults, but I couldnt giver her any recommendations. I let her know that she can look at the Oregon Drinking Water Program website to gain additional information. ACTION NEEDED: None.
