| Details: | SUMMARY: Level 2 total coliform trigger - operational issues DETAILS: Scott called to give an update on the water system. The water storage tank is very low - ~13 ft. He climbed to the top of the tank and looked in to verify the readings were correct. All 3 wells were turned on and the tank does not appear to be filling. He has been driving around and looking at previous water line break areas and checking and is not seeing where there could be a main break. There are fire crews camped at the school but they are utilizing their own water supply and/or not making a huge impact on the Citys water. Bill suggested he record the water usage by the wells and check the next day and see how much was pumped. There is no flow meter after the storage tank to compare in/out usage. He also mentioned the storage tank has not been cleaned or inspected in a long time. Scott called and left a message on 8/16/16 - he had contacted John Russell who had helped put the system in. It appears to have been some control that was not working. They are working on it and the storage tank was back up to 26. ACTION NEEDED: Gave him OAWUs phone number as a possible resource. Will keep following up with Scott. A level 2 investigation will be done in a couple of weeks. | ||
