| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed Manganese Treatment DETAILS: Butch and Karen called with questions regarding manganese limits. I explained that manganese was a secondary contaminant that has a SMCL of 0.05 mg/l but no MCL. There have been recent incidents of black water found when replacing meters. The polyphosphate treatment at well 4 is still in place, however the dosage concentrations have not been measured in some time. I sent them information from the plan review when the treatment was installed, and recommended they obtain a field test kit to measure the polyphosphate concentrations to see if they are close to the original target dose of 3 mg/l. Also recommended they contact Leroy Palmer with AmeriWest Water who helped set up the treatment system. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
