Details: | SUMMARY: water usage and rate complaint DETAILS: Caller called as water system has noted excessive water use and corresponding high water bills for customer. Water system has threatened to disconnect service by mid-September if balance not paid for a couple of unpaid months. Caller has requested water meter usage records from operator but has not received anything apparently. Caller has checked for leaks and has not seen any in-house plumbing or seen meter dial spin when all water in house is off. I mentioned her call to system operator, who is aware of the issue and indicated that DWS regulates water quality not rates. I provided contact information for state public utility commission to her, upon request, but mentioned that my research showed that water system not regulated for rates by PUC. ACTION NEEDED: Provide support and answer any questions about water quality in future by caller. |
