| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to Repeat Samples/Source TC+ DETAILS: Alert ID: COLI15848, COLI15857I tried calling Mr. Anderson on 08/15 to to discuss the alert for total coliform (COLI15848) with no pick up/answering machine on the phone number listed in SDWIS. On 08/16 another alert was generated (COLI15857) for the repeat and triggered source samples all being positive for TC. I called and was able to reach Mr. Anderson on 08/16. I discussed that a Level 1 investigation would be required on the water system to be conducted by Mr. Anderson due to the repeat/triggered samples TC+ and that he would be receiving a letter and template/investigation form to conduct this investigation. I informed him that this investigation is primarily to assess the water system and see if there was anything unusual occurring that could affect the water source/system. I informed Mr. Anderson that it appeared the chlorine residual (for residual maintenance) appeared zero/non-detect when the water samples were taken and this could be affecting the results. I informed Mr. Anderson that the investigation will have to be completed within 30 days (due date of 09/15) and the completed form returned to the Drinking Water Program. I also informed Mr. Anderson that 3 routine samples from the distribution system will have to be collected during the month of September and to follow his Coliform Sampling Plan. ACTION NEEDED: Ensure Level 1 investigation form completed and 3 routine samples are completed. | ||
