Details: | SUMMARY: Follow-up on Arsenic Results and Compliance Testing for 2016 DETAILS: This system has 2 wells. Well # 2 (the newer well) has been testing for Arsenic over the last year and there has been some high detections. The Running Annual Average is just below the MCL when averaging and rounding the last 4 quarters. The system is on quarterly sampling at present but I am recommending that it be moved to yearly sampling after the next Arsenic test. The water from this well has never been placed into the distribution system due to the concern of the operators and the results being high on Arsenic. The operator has been exercising the well and the last 2 samples were taken after extensive flushing of the system. ACTION NEEDED: Recommend that Toluene schedule be changed to yearly, last 2 quarter tests were ND. Next VOC test will give another data point and VOC testing is due in 2017 which will give more data on this constituent. Circuit Rider has been contacted, possible consideration for wells 1&2 to be considered a well field, also blending of well 1&2 to help lower the Arsenic level in the finished water. The RAA of the water in well #2 should be considered when the results of the next quarters sample is available. Send in Schedule change on Toluene. |
