| Details: | Chris notified OHA about a UCMR4 manganese result of 520 ug/L collected on 5/5/20 from finished water at EP-B. This result is above the EPA lifetime/acute infant drinking water health advisory of 300 ug/L. OHA advised Lebanon to collect another finished water sample asap and have it analyzed for manganese at an accredited lab. Raw and finished water samples were collected 5/21/22; raw was 159 ug/L and finished water was non-detect. Chris indicated he would obtain a test kit and also do quarterly monitor at the lab while they investigated potential causes; he suspected either high river flows or membrane cleaning process-related (he indicated he would target sampling for after the cleaning process to see if related). A finished water sample collected 7/21/20 was 275 ug/L, just below the health advisory level, however all finished water testing after that (Sept 2020, Oct 2020, Feb 2021, April 2021) has been non-detected. A previous UCMR4 sample collected prior to the high result on 1/7/20 was very low at 1.7 ug/L and a subsequent UCMR4 sample collected 10/26/20 was also very low at 1.3 ug/L. Lebanon indicated they would continue quarterly monitoring to ensure finished water manganese levels remain below the health advisory level. | ||
