| Details: | SUMMARY: Reservoir to be Taken Offline for Maintenance DETAILS: Spoke with Howard. The buried concrete reservoir has developed a leak into the booster pump room, and must be repaired. Knerr Construction will do the repairs. The reservoir will be taken offline and a "camel" will be brought in for temporary storage, and will be refilled by a water tanker. The booster pumps will be temporarily plumbed to draw water from the camel and keep the plumbing pressurized. The repairs are expected to take about 3 weeks. The start date for the repair has yet to be determined. I recommended that the chlorinator be plumbed in so that a residual would be maintained throughout the process. Advised that a coliform sample should be collected right after the camel is placed into service to check on the water quality. ACTION NEEDED: System to keep DWS appraised of the repair projects progress. | ||
