| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil Notice DETAILS: System had collected a routine sample on 10/19/16. It was positive for total coliform bacteria. On 10/26 - 3 repeat samples and 1 triggered source sample were collected (with assistance from DWS). One of the repeats (Harrison/Aurora) was positive for E. coli. This triggered a boil water alert. Contact was made with the operator, city recorder and county health department. A public notice was sent to the city recorder for distribution to the persons served by the water system. The operator did note that on 10/27, the water at city hall did have a discoloration to it. This was not noted on 10/26 when the samples were collected. System dosed up the storage tank and has begun flushing throughout the system. Follow up samples are to be collected on Monday. ACTION NEEDED: Take 5 distribution samples on Monday. If all are absent for bacteria, the boil notice can be lifted. Results will be available on Tuesday (11/1/16). | ||
