Details: | SUMMARY: Lead AL Exceedance DETAILS: On Nov. 21st, I spoke with Kim about the 2016 lead and copper sample results. A sample collected Sept. 29th exceeded the action level for lead (Sample ID X0238984). Another sample also collected Sept. 29th leaked and a replacement sample was collected Oct. 20th at the same location (Sample ID 161094101A). On Nov. 30th, documentation was provided by the city describing that the Sept. 29th and Oct. 20th samples were collected at outside spigots. Because this does not meet the sample collection criteria, the two samples were invalidated Dec. 12th allowing replacement sample collection within 20 days. Due to the lead AL exceedance, public education was sent to residents regarding lead. A copy of the brochure was received Dec. 13th. Two replacement samples were collected Dec. 20th and 22nd. The recalculated 90th percentile was below the lead action level, so the requirement to install corrosion control treatment will be postponed. The city is to continue monitoring lead and copper at the scheduled frequency of five tap sample sites every three years. ACTION NEEDED: No further action at this time. |
