| Details: | SUMMARY: Five Confirmation Samples for Well #1 all TC and E.coli + DETAILS: Scott Berry from OAWU is a contract operator for the Vineyard Mountain Water Company. Scott reported that well 1 was not in use at the time of samples. Well 1 will remain off-line. He states it is low yield and only needed a few days a year in the summer months. He states he will recommend to the board to have the well formally abandoned and consider drilling a new source. A boil water notice was not required as well 1 is not currently in use. I will conduct a Level 2 investigation which is scheduled for December 9, 2016. There was a tracer study done a few years ago by HBH. I will review the results and discuss a pre-cautionary minimum residual level.I will submit a well evaluation request for well 1. It will likely need to be updated as an evaluation already prepared a few years ago and found that well 1 was inadequately constructed. ACTION NEEDED: Proceed with the Level 2 investigation and submit a well evaluation request to Shawn Stevenson. | ||
