| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert Followup for Over MCL NO3 DETAILS: Monitoring samples of the two wells that supply water to a Transient Non community R.V. Park. Well #1 tested at 12.1 mg/l and well #2 at 6.7 mg/l. Called and talked to owner Kodiak-- turn off well #1 and use well #2 as main and only supply for the park. There is one family in the park that has an infant child. Kodiak said he talked to them about the high nitrate and that they were using bottled water for the baby. I will send Kodiak the NO3 public notice template to fill out and post. Well #2 is below the MCL but above the action level of 5 mg/l. ACTION NEEDED: Post public notice and send a copy of that notice to County and State drinking water program. Consider fitler methods to remove NO3 from water. Continue routine water sampling. | ||
