| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive E.coli DETAILS: I contacted Ms. Guitierrez regardimg the positive E.coli result from one of the repeat samples submitted on 1-3-17. I advised her of the requiremet to issue a Tier 1 public boil notice as soon as practical and within 24 hours after learning of the violation. She said she will do it today. I e-mailed her the DWS instructions and template for the notice, in addition to well disinfection procedures. I also advised her of the requirement to increase monitoring to monthly for total coliform bacteria/E.coli for at least 12 months beginning in February of 2017. I informed her that a Level 2 coliform investigation will be conducted within 30 days. She will flush and shock the water system and wait 3-5 days, at which point she will submit a "special" sample to be tested for total coliform/E.coli. ACTION NEEDED: Issue a Tier 1 public boil notice, flush and shock the water system, submit a "special" sample 3-5 days after flushing and shocking the system, increase to monthly monitoring for total coliform/E.coli beginning in February of 2017 and conduct a Level 2 coliform investigation within 30 days. | ||
