Details: | SUMMARY: letter on use of CT tables, coliform locations, etc. DETAILS: This system was recently reclassified as a non-EPA system, which means less DWS staff time will be available. Because there will be less oversight, this letter was intended to document information that they may refer to going forward. The letter describes the consequences of the new classification, though their monitoring requirements remain the same. Because of E. coli detections over the past 3 years, suggested a review of sanitary coliform sampling technique and which locations they have been using for sample collection. Reviewed current issues in their recent monthly treatment reports, suggested they use either the CT tables from Washington or the electronic form - both of these require less "rounding," which minimizes the chance for error and provides more accurate figures for the required CT each day. Provided OAWU contact information for assistance with operational problems and possibly a tracer study. ACTION NEEDED: None. CCd Coos County Health Dept. |
