| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform Present in Routine Sample DETAILS: Lura from BLM phoned to report the presence of total coliform in the 1-9-17 routine sample. She stated repeat samples were planned. The following verbiage is from an email Lura sent to some agency contacts, later, on the same day:"New River tested positive for total coliforms on our first quarter water sample that we collected on Monday. The good news is that it was negative for Ecoli. This is not necessarily a bad thing but there is the potential for bad things (bacteria) to occur in the water. Tom is taking the 3 required samples as well as a source and two in-house samples.We will have the results from the lab by 3:00 tomorrow afternoon at which point I will inform you of any corrective actions that will be taken (hopefully this is a fluke as has happened a handful of times before). Public notice is not required at this point but the public drinking fountain will be turned off…" ACTION NEEDED: ASAP source sample and repeat samples. | ||
