| Details: | SUMMARY: January 2017 PCE detect well #5 DETAILS: Spoke to Derrick about the Jan 24, 2017 tetrachloroethylene (PCE) detect from well #5 of 0.0022 mg/L, less than the MCL of 0.005 mg/L. This is in the range of detects from earlier well #5 samples, so system continues with annual sampling. City plans on continuing using well #5 periodically (once a week) to back-up nearby well #9. We discussed possible sources of PCE in groundwater and in the area. DWS coordinates with DEQ on impacts of drinking water chemical detects on DEQs cleanup program. I provided DEQ cleanup contact information. ACTION NEEDED: City to continue with annual monitoring of PCE at entry point F with only well #5 on, during first quarter, next in first quarter 2018. DWS to provide update of source water assessment report to City later in 2017. | ||
