Details: SUMMARY: Nitrate MCL Corrective Action DETAILS: CHEM 7467/7444Most recent nitrate results December 15 and 28: well #1 12.6 and 12.1-- Well #2 12.4 and 6.7. Discussed with Kodiak and consulted with Michelle and Bill Goss. System has turned well #1 off and is only utilizing well #2 which has historically been under the MCL with the exception of the 12/15 sample which was actually a blended sample of both wells. Kodiak is researching treatment options for well #1 and will have in place by June 1, 2017 (or an approved plan to blend sources or just use well #2 if it can produce enough water). Plan review approval for any treatment is needed prior to installation. Contact Carrie Gentry at 971-673-0191 for plan review. System has posted public notice at kiosk and front office and submitted copy January 3, 2017 and will keep up until further notice. Quarterly nitrate sampling is required through at least 3rd quarter 2017. ACTION NEEDED: Continued qtrly sampling 1, 2 and 3rd qtrs 2017. Submit plan review for any proposed treatment and have corrective action IN PLACE no later than June 1, 2017.
