| Details: | SUMMARY: CO Well Samples Positive for E.coli DETAILS: On-going with regards to the positive e coli samples. I have been in frequent contact with the system, and the system has informed me they completed a shock chlorination of the system on 1/13/2017. I informed them they would still need to re-open under a boil water notice (the system continues to remain closed to the public at this time), and supply a copy to the LPHA.I did meet with the system in the field on 1/19/2017 and we completed a level 2 investigation form. We also discussed options for re-opening. The system wishes to re-open on 1/24/17 and will do so using hauled water from an approved source. I have been in constant communication with State DWP and they are aware of this and have approved the use of hauled water as a temporary solution. The system wants to experiment for a week using hauled water as a long term permanent solution. I will meet with the system again the week of 1/30 to discuss whether or not to used hauled water as a viable long term solution. Additonally, based on the level 2 investigation, there might be a GWUDI scenario going on here. If the system chooses to go back to using the ground well water, further follow up with GWUDI and 4-log inactivation will be required. ACTION NEEDED: On-going, continue to meet with the system for continued follow up and create long term permanent solution. | ||
