| Details: | SUMMARY: E.coli Positive for Sample Date 1-19-17 DETAILS: The operator called me to let me know that one of the distribution system samples was e-coli positive & all other samples are total coliform. I let him know that the system will need to go onto a boil. I met him at the facility on this date to perform a level 2 investigation. I also gave him the e-coli boil template. We discussed potential causes of the ecoli. The system had broken pipes & loss of power during the snow storm. the system will be on a boil until clean follow up samples can be taken. The operator will work on a few more plumbing issues then disinfect the system. The operator is also wanting to add a chlorinator or UV. I let him know that it will require plan review & gave him contact information. ACTION NEEDED: Monitor follow up samples & lift the boil when possible. Continue to provide tech support to new operator. | ||
