| Details: | Emailed Mr. Gardner to let him know we received the 5/21/21 results for the manganese tests done for each well. Both wells have manganese over the 0.3 mg/L health advisory level. The hope was one well might have lower manganese levels so it could be used as the primary source, or possibly blended with the higher manganese well, but that doesn’t look to be possible unfortunately. I recommended going forward to make the residents aware of the health advisory level (especially any with infants under 6 months) by providing them the manganese fact sheet and the public notice (copies attached to the email). As far as future manganese testing, if he becomes aware of homes with infants or elderly with liver disease, if they have an in-home manganese treatment system, he might consider testing post-treatment to verify the effectiveness of the treatment. | ||
