| Details: | SUMMARY: Inspected Reservoir, Wells 1 and 2 DETAILS: Met on site with Melissa Ney with ODA food safety program, Travis Love with the dairy, Aaron Johns with Performance Mechanical who is the plumbing contractor, and Josh Obendorf with IRZ Construction Division (ICD). Inspected the 576,000 gallon reservoir. Found that the reservoir is lacking a floor drain and overflow piping. Inspected well 1 (parlor well) and well 2 (reservoir well). Plumbing work for these wells needs to be completed. Well 3 (batch plant) and the shallow dewatering well were not inspected. The plumbing to the break room and bathrooms was valved off so no water is available in that portion of the milking parlor building, and employees have no access to piped water. Bottled water is available. ACTION NEEDED: External overflow piping to be added to reservoir. A waiver request for the construction standard requiring a floor drain to be submitted. Plumbing work at the well heads to be completed to meet construction standards. Water quality samples to be collected from the wells. Dewatering well to be physically disconnected from the potable water system. | ||
