Details: I called Matt Olson from Hiland Water, who assists with system's operations, as a reminder about the optional 6 month sampling rounds of 10 samples for Lead and Copper, if Western Hills MH Estates is interested, which if the results are at or below the action levels for both rounds, Western Hills may postpone the installation of corrosion control treatment. Western Hills had a Lead action level exceedance sample result of 0.0250 mg/L in August 2020.
I emailed both Christian Torres and Matt Olson the EPA 141-A guide and Lead and Copper site selection guide to assist with adding the 5 additional sample locations to the total of 10 per round. The additional sample sites are to be from locations with a higher content of lead and/or copper in the piping or service lines.
I indicated that these two 6 month lead and copper sampling rounds are not required but may be of interest.
I also noted that if one or both of these sample rounds show an exceedance of the action level for lead and/or copper, the corrosion control treatment plans and installation deadlines will remain the same.
