Details: | SUMMARY: Lead and copper monitoring plan update DETAILS: I updated Andrew on the Citys future lead and copper requirements. The City will be coming off of the Portland Joint Monitoring Plan on June 30, 2017, as they use supplemental sources (Rockwoods wells) to the purchased Portland water. The City will begin taking the standard 60 lead and copper samples for two six-month rounds, beginning with the July to December 2017 period, and future monitoring scheduling will be based on these initial rounds. The City will not be required to conduct extra monitoring or lead public education, as the water quality is different that strict Portland water. The City may choose to do so voluntarily. Any future increased monitoring or lead public education will be based solely on Greshams sample results. ACTION NEEDED: City to submit documentation (EPA 141-A) forms for new lead and copper sample sites to DWS prior to fall sampling for review. DWS to establish new lead and copper schedule. Andrew indicated City may still provide basic lead public information on City website, such as the Multnomah County leadline. |
