| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert Follow Up for E.coli Positive DETAILS: Routine sample 6/27 positive for E.Coli. Received call from Umpqua Lab as well as Steve and Jerry. System had new well recently installed and tested absent for coliforms. New well is now providing water to reservoir. System had already sent out "do not drink" notice to all customers prior to positive sample due to new well and not yet approved. I forwarded boil water notice to provide them with mandatory language. No repeat samples were taken and system immediately started working to fix problem. They chlorinated reservoir to 5-10 ppm chlorine and let sit overnight. They will flush the entire system today and take follow up verification sample Friday if all chlorine is gone. ACTION NEEDED: Take verification samples and all samples need to be absent to lift boil notice. 3 temp routines will be needed in July. | ||
