| Details: | SUMMARY: E. coli confirmed results DETAILS: Because EC was just confirmed in the water system with the 3 repeat samples, I emailed Kim Bishop today with the materials to issue a new Tier 1 Boil Water Notice that includes these testing results. The previous Tier 1 Boil notice (6/1/17) was for failure to treat surface water-- the new notice gives the public more information about E. coli contamination. I had spoken to her on the phone a couple days ago that this need to issue a new notice would be coming up if any of the repeats showed the presence of EC. Kim will likely send me a draft notice to review, though she will need to consult with the Water Co-op president, Don Pedro, to update the "What is Being Done?" section of the notice. I spoke to Scott Berry at OAWU earlier this week-- he planned to contact the president and offer to help them figure out their options for compliance. ACTION NEEDED: Await receipt of new Tier 1 notice from Kim. I updated the description of the Water Advisory in our database. | ||
