| Details: | Background/Problem Identification: Tooley Water District (TWD) is a small groundwater system on the Columbia River in Wasco County. One of their two wells just tested at 18.6 mg/L for nitrate in Well #1 and 20 mg/L in Well #2. The MCL for nitrate is 10 mg/L. TWD reached back out to the circuit rider for further assistance with equipment selection. Assistance Provided: The circuit rider provided John Amery of TWD the following recommendations: • Contact information for Adam Sussman at GSI, to discuss a feasibility study for drilling a new well. • Links to both RO and Ion-Exchange water treatment systems. • Contact information for US Water. US Water will be able to provide contact with a local dealer that could further assess the system and make a more accurate recommendation for a water treatment system given the results of a panel of water quality parameters.
