| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform Positive DETAILS: On August 24th, 2017, Ms. April contacted me over the phone to inform me that she had received a call from the lab notifying her that one of the water samples tested positive for total coliforms. She then asked me for instructions on what to do next. I told Ms. April I would call her back with instructions on what to do next. On August 25th, 2017, I spoke over the phone with Ms. April, advising her to collect the following water samples:a. One water sample taken at the wellheadb. One water sample taken at the site that tested positive for coliformsc. One sample taken 3 to 5 rooms upstream from the site that tested positive d. One sample taken 3 to 5 rooms downstream from the point that tested positiveI advised Ms. April to collect the water samples as soon as posible, so the lab can process the samples and submit the test results to DWM within 10 days of the detection. I also emailed Ms. April a copy of the Coliform Fact Sheet and of the OHA Guide on How to Collect a Water Sample - OHA 8312 (11/14). ACTION NEEDED: Collect a water sample from the source (wellhead) and 3 repeat samples. | ||
