| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert Followup With Operator Regarding Needed Sampling DETAILS: Routine sample was postitive for total coliforms. NCPHD tried to contact operator but # listed in SDWIS was incorrect. Finally contacted today-- operator had shocked the well and then pumped the chlorinated water into the 10,000 gal reservoir. Repeats have not been taken since there is a chlorine residual in the distribution.I did discuss that the proper way to do follow up samples was to pull those before the system was chlorinated and then respond to the follow up samples if any was positive. OHA does not "like" batching.3 qts. of chlorine was added to the well and left for a day before being released to the reservoir-- there are connections before the reservoir. Operator was not sure of the % concentration used during the batching process. ACTION NEEDED: Follow-up samples-- 1 triggered from the well, 3 repeats in distribution. | ||
