Details: | SUMMARY: General Support Operations DETAILS: 6/6/17 – Met with Jim Youravish and Dyer Engineering (City Engineer) onsite, who gave a tour of the system and explained the scaling issue they are having on their UV system. Based on our discussion and the Cities needs it was decided that the City Engineer make some design recommendations. Several questions arose regarding the requirements for separation of chemical injection, what the state would require to relocate these injection ports, and if the City forces could perform the work in house.1. There is no minimum separation between injection ports but the separation should be such that the chemicals have time to blend before introducing another chemical as the chemicals can have a reaction to one another.2. The state will require a sketch or plan of the proposed changes.3. City forces can perform the above-mentioned work. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time |
